Fort Naco was the home of the 9TH and 10TH Cavalries of Buffalo Soldiers. It presently is located on twelve(12) acres in the town of Naco, Arizona. Naco, Sonora, Mexico is only a few hundred feet south of the Fort. The fort has 23 building still standing. The stables were destroyed many years ago after the Army left. The Laundry, across the road to the west is now a private residence.
